Asus Bamboo Laptop

Just when I thought that laptop cases in the future will be made of titanium or alloy adamantium (Wolverine's claws), I am surprised to come across the Asus' Bamboo Laptop!

After they came up with Leather notebooks in the past, this one's got to have the most eco-friendly materials. Despite its low-tech looking exterior, the Bamboo laptop is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo and will feature a Windows Vista OS.

The new model comes in 2 versions, a 12.1-inch and a 11.1-inch screener. The 12.1-inch model includes a GeForce 9300M GS video card, up to 320 GB hard disk and a 802.11n Wi-Fi. It also includes up to 4GB of RAM and a Super Multi DVD double layer drive. SSD hard disk options start at 32 GB.

On the other hand, both models has an 8-in-1 card reader and a 0.3 Mega pixel webcam. The availability of Asus bamboo laptops have not yet been announced, although it is expected that prices would start at $2000.

No doubt it looks great. I just hope that it already has an anti-termite treatment.

I'd like to have one. I'm wondering if this is made out of Philippine bamboo.
